FERPA
STUDENT'S RIGHTS OF PRIVACY AND ACCESS
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974(FERPA) is a federal law that gives students various rights with respect to their educational records. Under FERPA, you have the right to inspect and review your educational records, the right to request amendment of records you believe are inaccurate or misleading, and the right to prevent disclosure of information from your educational records without prior consent, subject to some specific expectations. This form allows students to grant guardians, grandparents, spouse, and/or others access to their educational records maintained by Luzerne County Community College.
This form is in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, U.S. Code (20 USC 1232g). The Federal Register (34CFR.
