Distance Education

LCCC's Distance Education program offers learners more flexible ways to reach their academic and professional goals. Through the use of educational technologies, teaching and learning takes place with the instructor and student separated during all or part of the learning experience. Similar to traditional face-to-face instruction, distance education courses provide for a variety of instructor/student interactions, with no difference in the student learning outcomes.

LCCC offers a large selection of distance education courses along with Associate Degree Programs, Certificates, and Diplomas that can be completed entirely online or with minimal in-person sessions (hybrid courses and/or in-person testing requirements) with careful planning:

Course schedules are subject to change each semester. Any on campus requirements for hybrid courses or testing are listed in Self Service and on your semester schedule. The in-person portion of hybrid courses may be offered at specific campus centers. Students should ensure they will be able to attend the in-person sessions of hybrid courses at the times and locations indicated. Note that many lab science courses are only offered in person. It is recommended that students work with their Advisor to create an optimal schedule.
