Students, Faculty, and Staff;

Earlier this year, the Board of Trustees approved the adoption of a Student Financial Responsibility Agreement. Upon enrollment, all students are bound by the Luzerne County Community College Student Financial Responsibility Agreement.

Effective July 1, 2025, all students must electronically sign this agreement through their Self-Service account before registering for new classes. Continuing students will be required to sign a new agreement at least once per year, and completing this agreement will also be required as part of the initial College application process for new students.

For help accessing your Self-Service account, please contact the Help Desk: https://www.luzerne.edu/currentstudents/helpdesk.jsp.

Please contact the Business Office at 800-377-5222 option 3 with any questions specific to the Student Financial Responsibility Agreement.

The James T. Atherton Gymnasium will close on Monday, June 23, and is expected to reopen by Friday, August 22, 2025.

The closure will allow contractors, among other improvements, to remove the old bleachers and install new bleachers.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these important infrastructure improvements.

Starting today (May 19th), we will be opening from 8 - 4pm during the week and closed on the weekends. We will return to our normal operating hours in the fall. Congrats to the class of 2025! :)

A special Big Library Read event featuring Ann Davila Cardinal, author of The Storyteller's Death. In this exclusive conversation hosted by Joe Skelley of Book Lounge by Libby, Ann will discuss the powerful themes woven throughout her novela: grief, identity, ancestral legacy, and the magic of storytelling.

Set against the vivid backdrop of Puerto Rico, The Storyteller's Death follows Isla Larsen Sanchez as she unravels family secrets and discovers an inherited gift that blurs the line between the past and present. Don't miss this chance to hear Ann share insights into her writing process, the cultural inspirations behind the story, and what it means to carry- and break-generational narratives.

When Isla Larsen Sanchez turns eighteen, her grandmother, a great storyteller, dies. It is then that Isla discovers she has a gift (or curse?) passed down through her family's cuentistas. Isla is enchanted by this connection to the Sanchez cuentistas...that is until she has a vision of an old murder mystery. She realizes that if she can't solve it, these seemingly harmless stories could cost Isla her life.
