Beware of Fraudulent Job Postings
Although we try our best to screen every job we post, you should still use good judgment when applying for a job. If an "employer" asks you to provide your credit card or bank account numbers, asks you to use your own money to purchase something for them, or asks you to deposit a check into your bank account (this is money laundering), then the job is a SCAM! If you experience any of these situations, please contact your local police department.
Note: The role of the Career Services Office is to post job announcements. We are not responsible for the contents of these listings or for any work conditions that exist once an employee is hired. A more complete listing of openings is located in the Career Services Office located in Building 14. These listings do not include positions at Luzerne County Community College. If you are interested in employment at the college, please contact the Human Resources Department.
Employers: Employers may contact our Career Services office by calling (570) 740-0456, faxing (570) 740-0695, or by emailing uuhrin@luzerne.edu to post openings. (Remember, once you post a job opening on-line, it is public and may be viewed by anyone-including your own employees!)
If you would like to participate in one of our job fairs or recruit on campus, please contact us at the above phone number. More information about these job fairs can be found in "Upcoming Events."
Civil Service Jobs: Civil Service openings may be viewed at http://www.scsc.state.pa.us.
Internships: The career services office posts internship opportunities but does not determine or assign academic credit. Students should contact their department chair for internship requirements.
Student Privacy Statement: The Career Services Office does not release any personal or educational information about students to employers, recruiters, or other third parties. In accordance to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, employers or recruiters may not redisclose any information they receive from students to another employer or third party, or use that information for purposes of promoting their own goods and services to the student, without the student's written consent.
