NEPA RISE
NEPA RISE, Readiness In Skilled Employment, is a workforce development initiative for students from Luzerne or Lackawanna County that is both innovative and grounded in research-based evidence.
Core components:
- Short-term, credential-bearing, demand-driven occupational skills training
- 1:1 coaching focused on executive function (self-regulation) skills
- Cohort activities to foster peer support
- Wrap-around support services to remove barriers

- The higher-level mental skills and processes needed to plan and accomplish tasks
- Self-regulation skills are critical for achieving goals

- Offers new opportunities to people in low-wage work
