Parent Pathways of NEPA


Parent Pathways of NEPA is a multi-sector collaborative fighting poverty two generations at a time. This holistic approach to removing barriers for parents so they can advance their education includes partners from higher education, social and community services, and youth development.

Parent Pathways of NEPA guides parents out of poverty through access to higher education and family sustaining professional careers. Families are empowered to learn, thrive, and succeed; two generations at a time.

Parent Pathways of NEPA's vision is to advocate socio-economic mobility for families through student parent success.

Why Parent Pathways at LCCC?

As a partner, LCCC's Parent Pathways program provides:

  • A two-generation learning model
  • Collaboration sessions for single parents while learning education and literacy strategies to use with their children designed to promote life-long learning
  • A practitioner to facilitate and support the 2-generation learning model
  • Support services and resources to address barriers for parents and children

Can I participate in Parent Pathways?

  • Single-parent college student or GED student at LCCC?
  • Part of the KEYS Program at LCCC OR receiving County Assistance Office (CAO) benefits?
  • Have a child 12 or under?
  • Live in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, Wayne or Wyoming County
