LCCC Trustee Cathy O?Donnell Honored at STARS of the Valley Awards

Luzerne County Community College proudly celebrates Board of Trustees member Cathy O'Donnell, who was honored this evening with the Community Service Award at the 2025 STARS of the Valley Awards. The event, held at the Westmoreland Club Grand Hall in Wilkes-Barre, recognized individuals who exemplify the values of Service, Transformation, Advancement, Resilience, and Support -- the very qualities that make someone a STAR in our region.*

Cathy O'Donnell was celebrated for her lifelong dedication to public service and education, as well as her continued commitment to strengthening communities across Luzerne County.

"Cathy O'Donnell has long been a tireless advocate for the people of Luzerne County and a champion for education, service, and opportunity," said LCCC President John Yudichak. "Her unwavering commitment to bettering our community truly embodies the spirit of the STARS of the Valley Awards. We are proud to have her on our Board of Trustees and to celebrate her remarkable legacy of leadership."

Following the awards ceremony, the celebration continued at the Rockin' the River summer concert on the River Commons -- a free community event blending the excitement of past EPIC Awards and Light Up the Valley into one unforgettable evening.

Luzerne County Community College is honored to have Cathy O'Donnell as a member of its Board of Trustees and applauds her well-deserved recognition as a true STAR of the Valley.
